Vetconazole oral suspension contains itraconazole. It is most commonly used in the treatment of fungal infections (Cryptococcosis in cats and Dermatophyte infection in dogs and cats).

Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Itraconazole BP  20 mg
  • Palatable syrup  base 20 mg

Features

  • Second generation Antifungals, Azole
  • For Systemic fungal infections
  • Activity is (10-100 times greater)
  • Infections treated by itraconazole include cryptococcosis (cats), and dermatophyte infections (dogs and cats).

Indications

  • Fungal infection of skin
  • Claws and bone infection 
  • Respiratory infections
  • Most widely used for treatment of Cryptococcus in cats
  • Dermatophyte infection in dogs and cats.

5-10 mg/kg body weight
